Children & Youth
God would have His church support, welcome, and include adults of various life circumstances — those who are never-married, married, widowed, and divorced; those with children and those without. Along with helping adults, we want to support the Christian nurture and development of children (Matthew 19:14) and assist parents in their calling to “bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4).
All ResLife ministries for children and youth are supervised and conducted by leaders who have been specifically approved by the board of elders and have undergone criminal background checks and child-protection training. For more information, see our Minor Protection Policy here.
Opportunities to Serve

Discipleship Time:
We offer Christian education classes for all age groups on most Sundays (see our church calendar for dates). Discipleship Time (our name for “Sunday school”) classes begin at 9:00 a.m. and last 45 minutes:
- 0–4 years: “Sprouts” class
- K–Grade 2: “Poppins” class
- Grades 3–5: “Kindles” class
- Grades 6–12: “Cultivate” class, our youth group for teens

Youth Group:
Outside of the Sunday “Cultivate” class during Discipleship Time, the ResLife Youth Group enjoys God-honoring times of recreation, service, and learning together. By God’s grace, our married and single adult leaders credibly model Christ-centered living and relationships and seek to help teens make the Christian faith “their own” and not merely their parents’. The Youth Group takes at least one retreat a year, usually with those from other, like-minded congregations.

Nursery:
An on-site nursery is available for pre-kindergarten children, from 9:50 a.m. through the duration of the worship service.
All nursery workers have been background-checked, trained, and approved by the elder board in compliance with our Minor Protection Policy.
