Sunday Mornings
The Bible teaches that the church is the body of Christ, God’s household, a temple of living stones indwelt by the Holy Spirit. We want every Christian believer to experience these Biblical descriptions of congregational life as reality.
In addition to attending the worship service, please consider these other Sunday morning opportunities to grow in faith and service:
Discipleship Time
We offer Christian education classes for all age groups on most Sundays (see our church calendar for dates). Discipleship Time (our name for “Sunday school”) classes begin at 9:00 a.m. and last 45 minutes:
- 0–4 years: “Sprouts” class
- K–Grade 2: “Poppins” class
- Grades 3–5: “Kindles” class
- Grades 6–12: “Cultivate” class, our youth group for teens that also has other events (retreats, social outings) during the month.
- Adults: “Rooted” class
D-Time provides everyone with opportunities to grow in knowledge and mature in Christian faith. We seek additional gifted and caring teachers for these classes, as needs arise.
Ways To Serve
Setup Team
Starting around 8:30 a.m. on Sundays, a team of ResLife volunteers who serve on a rotating basis prepares the Apex Middle School auditorium and needed classrooms for the congregation’s use that morning, moving sound equipment, signs, and other materials from our mobile trailer. The team moves everything back into the trailer after the service.
Audiovisual Team
Volunteers set up the sound system before worship, and adjust audio settings and advance the slides (displaying the order of worship, song lyrics, and announcements) during the service.
Music Team
Do you play an instrument or love to sing? We have several musicians who lead and accompany our congregational singing on a rotating basis.
Welcome Team
A rotating team of greeters welcomes worshipers in the Apex Middle School auditorium lobby starting at 9:45 a.m. weekly, and ensures they leave the service with questions answered and a friendly farewell.
