All of us were created to be like God — to be His “image-bearers” — but we have all gone astray, seeking to be gods ourselves and failing to love God and others as we ought. This is what the Bible calls “sin.” As a result, the world is full of death and hate, and we all stand under God’s just condemnation.

But in love, God sent His Son Jesus into the world as a man, to pay the penalty for our rebellion against God. Jesus was resurrected from death bodily, demonstrating that God accepted His sacrifice in place of sinners. He ascended to heaven, and is present by the Holy Spirit within those who trust in Him for salvation and await His physical return, when He will judge all people and bring believers into a renewed cosmos. 

Knowing Jesus Christ through a personal, Biblical faith restores us to do what God originally created us to do: glorify God and enjoy Him forever.
