To discover the joy of belonging to Jesus with resurrection life.
Resurrection Life Church is a mission church (“church plant”) of Eastern Carolina Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church in America denomination, after transferring from the Christian Reformed Church in March 2024. In 2014, ResLife began meeting for worship in the home of Pastor Mark Knetsch. The church had its first baptisms in 2015 and moved its worship services into rented facilities beginning in 2016. By God’s grace, ResLife anticipates becoming a self-governed congregation in 2025, having elders and deacons who are nominated and elected by its members.
Our Values

Welcoming seekers, encouraging believers.
We welcome those with troubled church experiences or no church background at all.
We invite all who are hurting or questioning. We want everyone to understand the resurrection life found in Jesus Christ alone, for this life and eternally.
At the same time, we welcome both new and mature Christian believers, regardless of prior denominational or theological background. We seek to be a community that shepherds, equips, and appropriately challenges followers of Christ to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18).

Rooted in Reformed theology, championing Christian unity.
We heartily uphold our historic Reformed and Presbyterian doctrinal standards expressed in the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms, while graciously acknowledging our unity with all churches that maintain the Word of God and sacraments (baptism and the Lord’s Supper) with integrity.
We lead and participate in evangelism and mission with churches both inside and outside our denomination.

Whole-life discipleship.
The Christian life extends beyond just an hour or two on Sunday. Jesus is Lord of every area of life, at every stage of life, for every life. We strive to make the Bible understandable and applicable to all facets of life through sermons and other parts of the worship service, Discipleship Time lessons, small group discussions, and individually tailored discipleship paths.
We equip people to find their identity in Christ and fulfill their God-given callings as family members, students, employees, leaders, citizens, and neighbors, in addition to worshipers and church members.
